A woman was robbed at knifepoint while buying a pair of jewelry earrings at a Jerusalem jewelry store on Monday.
The woman said she had purchased them in a store in the Jerusalem suburb of Tivon, where the store is located.
She said she was shopping in a narrow street when she was approached by two men who demanded that she hand over her jewelry, according to a police report.
The women said they refused, and that one of the men hit her with a wooden chair.
The other stole the earrings, which are valued at around $8,000, the report said.
The two men fled with the jewelry, but police detained the men and searched the area.
